1" Scale Symington-Gould Trucks

These trucks follow an early roller-bearing desing which emerged in the 1930's. Our kit features Torrington needle bearing pressed into the journals. The journal boxes have raised lettering and bolt detail. The combination of needle bearings with the closed-end journals makes this a very robust and maintenance-free truck, a natural for cards which see heavy service. The smoothness of the needle bearings is incredible--a loaded car will creep away on even the slightest grade. This kit is very easy and quick to assemble, as it has fewer parts than our other truck kits. As with all our kits, the wheelsets utilize hardened and ground axles, ensuring many, many years of useful service. Please note that the wheelsets in this kit are not interchangeable with our other truck kits.

We regret that we do not currently offer brake gear for 5" gauge trucks.
